See that's the thing, I never put any pressure down when placing the chip in, and the very first time I did exactly as you described, laid it straight in... I've heard nightmare stories about ASrock's customer service... Highly doubt they'll take any responsibility for shipping a faulty product.

One thing I'm confused about is, should my computer even be able to run correctly if the pins in the socket were bent?

Editing this post. When you said the ones to the left, did you mean the entire left section, or just a certain few?

How about, can you post your BIOS settings, all DRAM info, including Advanced timings, and system voltages - if you have a flash drive handy can plug it in - go to BIOS and for each screen you want a shot of hit the F12 key, it will save a copy of the screen in .jpg format to your flash drive

and don't forget to turn on the Braille Translation for Visullay Impaired just kidding!

try these and let me know

Tried but it wouldn't boot. Took screenshots just to make sure I got all the settings correct.

Tradesman you magnificent gentlemen, IT WORKED! I'm at 2133 atm. Now, you mentioned being able to reach stable OC's. If I wanted to reach 2400 or so, what would I want to do?

Now we are getting into OT, and the price goes up initially for 2400 try raising the base timings on a one step basis to 10-12-11 leave the tRAS at 28 (and may need to raise DRAM voltage + .03, possibly VTT a hair more - but just start with the timings

As of right now, haven't tried going up to 2400 yet.

In other news, I have been getting a weird issue with the current 2133 clocking. So basically (and this is how I have interpreted it), if I use the settings you provided to me and the computer is already powered on, it will successfully boot, but if the computer fully powers down, then the initial attempt at booting fails. I f I simply go into bios, and exit without changing anything, it will boot since the computer is already powered on.

That sounds like an initialization problem, might be PSU or might be mobo, one thing there that might help would be a slight raise to the vCore - either the PSU or the mobo may not be providing proper voltage at startup to, in effect, start up. Might see if you have or can borrow a different PSU

Does the offset voltage under CPU voltage represent the vcore? If so, how high can I go up before I should worry? As of right now I'm at +0.025V (I tested +0.020V but it failed). I haven't tried past that yet because I have been busy.

Mine is + .025 with PCH 1/059, VTT 1.159, CPU PLL 1.791 and VCCSA at 0.926 with the CPU running 4.6 GHz can go higher on it, just watch your temps

                            Hey tradesman,

so I finally decided to stop being lazy and run memtest on each stick individually with 5 passes. So far I've done the first 2 sticks and have found 0 errors, so I'm pretty dang sure it's the motherboard. I'm going to try to RMA it this week through newegg.

Real quick, I don't remember what BIOS you are on, but may want to backtrack to 1.6 if higher, I (like you was lazy) finally sat and loaded ver 2.0 to work with and it stinks, I got to 2133, but was back to handtuning, the XMP worked fine on 1.6. Also couldn't get a good stable OC at 2.0, so I'm back with 1.6 and sent them a message about the woes, hope to hear back, maybe by the middle of the week

Interesting. I think I went from version 1.2 to 1.9 to 2.0, so yeah maybe 1.6 is the sweet spot? I'll try it out tomorrow! Thanks for the info!
