Do you have the latest BIOS for your mobo?
    Tradesman,
Yes from the Asus site, ver 0813

      NB Frequency 2400MHz? CPU-NB Voltage 1.20V?

Make sure to manually input DRAM frequency, timings, and voltage.

      Thank you

      Just tried again.

      NB freq 2400
      Dram freq 1600
      Dram timing 9,9,9,24
      Dram voltage 1.50v
CPU-NB manual voltage was 1.15 stock. I upped it to 1.25v

Rebooted CPU-id shows everything working good. Correct timings and Freq.

Fired up Prime95 for a blend test.
      BSOD within 10 seconds.

I'm back to 1333 mem freq, 9,9,9,24 timings and stable.

      /shrug
Dunno what else to try : (

      • Can you post your BIOS settings

Pls offer comments on support I provide, HERE, in order to help me do a better job here:

I dont see NB freq in my manual, here's a few settings is it one of these? Not sure about CPU MB either. Here's a few examples and a few options.

          processor freq multiplier x9.5 1900mhz x12.0 2400mhz x15.0 3000mhz
HT over voltage 1.25 to 1.385
HT link freq 600 mhz 1000 mhz 2200 mhz
          mem clock mode 400 533 667 800 mhz
          mem overvoltage 1.5 to 2.050
          chipset over voltage

Here's my manual, BIOS DRAM info is page 51

CPU/NB voltage( which one do I use?)
I changed the CPU/NB manual voltage last time to 1.25V (+10 OVER STOCK)

            Ram timings

Maybe I'm missing something on the CPU/NB voltage?

Dram voltage was at 1.50 stock.

If I just use 2 of the sticks (2x4) everything is perfect. Prime gives no errors on blend, and It shows the memory running at 1600Mhz. I have swapped from dimm slot to dimm slot , same.
It's when I put all 4, 4 gig sticks in where it doesn't work. I have tested all of the sticks and 2 at a time they work perfect at 1600Mhz.

            • i did everything in method 1 except setting my dram to 1.5v because it seems lik its already in 1.5v in auto. i just left it in auto cuz if i set it to manual the bios warn me of my system not in optimal form. and it seems lik auto already have my dram at 1.51v

buttttt.....when i use cpu-z to look at my memory it says this:
              dram freq - 800mhz
              fsb:dram - 3:10
              CL - 9
              tRCD - 9
              tRP - 9
              tRAS - 24
              tRC - 39
              CR - 2T

now my question is shouldnt my dram freq be 1600mhz? or am i missing something? is that normal?

              • It is showing the actual frequency of the RAM, 800, since it is Double Data Rate (DDR) you take the frequency times 2, 800 x 2 = 1600. You are right on the proper specification.

                • Bump for some help.
Still need to figure out what settings I need to get this Ram to run at 1600Mhz !

                  See above posted Bios settings.

                  • Try with memory voltage at 1.56 and raise CPU/NB manaul voltge to 1.25

                    • DRAM Voltage 1.50V

                      CPU/NB Manual Voltage 1.20V

In timings, Write Recovery Time should be 12.

                      Thank you

Blue screened right away in Prime 95 with those settings.

Prime failed right away with the above settings.

                          Dunno what else to try.

Gonna just leave it set at 1333MHZ for now.

                          • Did you test one at a time to see if one may be bad causing problems?

                              No.

I tested 2 at a time. Works fine. I swapped the sticks to different dimm slots. Still works fine. It's only when I try to run all 4 , 4 gig sticks that I have the problem.

                              • It would appear to be a settings problem then.

For DDR3-1333, you can lower timings, that can make up for some performance loss in frequency.

                                Thank you
