I ran a single RAM in slot #2 and it passed Memtest twice. I then tried putting the same successful RAM in slot #1 and this is what I got:

A billion errors in 20 seconds.

I then tried my second RAM stick and put it in slot #2. By now, I am certain that my mobo has a dysfunctional slot #1 and #3.

Does that mean that my second RAM stick is bad?

Also, the reason why I ran MemTest was because I had OCed my system to 3.825Ghz with 2 sticks at 800Mhz speed. Things were going perfectly up until the 7th minute when it froze:

      Here's the update:

1st RAM Stick in Slot #2:

Looks like this one is broken to me. I will RMA to G.Skill, unless somebody objects.

2nd RAM Stick in Slot #2:

2 hours and 4 complete passes, this one is good.

2nd RAM Stick in Slot #1:

Computer screen froze in 6 seconds lol. My motherboard's Slot #1 and #3 are FUBAR. It'll be replaced in Winter Break.

Looks like I need to RMA my 1st RAM stick. Looks like my motherboard needs to be replaced as well... I'm unlucky!

How long does it usually take to get an RMA code e-mailed back to me?

I received my new stick of RAM today via USPS. It passed 2 tests on MemTest 4.0 at 1066. I then ran both sticks in slots #2 and #4, and tons of errors appeared. Tried testing a single stick in slot #4 and tons of errors appeared.

I guess it's time to get the motherboard replaced. The only RAM slot that works without flaw is slot #2. Why I chose to order a mobo via internet is beyond me... I hate RMAs and waiting days for them.

          Good news:
          - RAM problem solved.
          - G.Skill's tech support is awesome.
          - G.Skill's customer service is great.
          - Only took 5 business days to deliver the new RAM.

          Bad news:
          - Motherboard is FUBAR.
          - I hear Gigabyte's RMA process takes a long while, so I dread returning the mobo until school ends.

If you got it at the Egg they might RMA it for you, might be quicker.

Hehe, I'd love to but I was too hasty when I first got all my computer parts and I sent in the rebate for the mobo. Newegg won't accept any RMAs if I do that.

That issue according to the memtest86+ you run there are tRD errors the Read Delay too low for some reason or it is too fast copy/switch 'data direction' error.

tStatic Read 8 might be good, but I think the Phase tRD adjustments are dropping it too low on Auto. You should get 'tStatic Read' to 10T and try with that. not exactly sure on this board what or how the 'tRD PhaseX Adjustment' works is that like +Xt when added or are they individual values. Trademan might give some light on that. Either way, the tRD or in Windows 'Performance Level' by many applications (MemSet). Should be minimum of tCL + (multiplier dependable 266Mhz = +0, 333Mhz(usual) = +2T, 400Mhz = +2-3T to be stable).

                -edit-

If I am incorrect CL6-6-6-18 should drop errors also. Just in case this is board/memory specified error would be nice to test that one.

                -edit 2-

You could also make clear that it ain't the too fast read / write switch (forgot to write on first message as mentioned 'data directions' & switch):
                Trd2rd(Different Rank) = 6T
                Twr2wr(Different Rank) = 6T
                Twr2rd(Different Rank) = 5T
                Trd2wr(Same/Diff Rank) = 8T
                (Applies to Channel A & B)

This would basically kill the idea that board would down latency the basic read write latencies which would generate errors. Anyway, it ain't voltage so you can forget that one to like 2.1v would be nice probably even lower should do, but no harm on 2.1v.

If Genetix ideas don't work and still thinking RMA, contact the Egg, tell them the boards got a faulty DRAM slot and you would like a straight exchange, they will probably go for it

Thank you for the quick reply. I will try everything genetix has recommended. If anything fails, I will contact Newegg. If they won't let me replace the mobo, I'll have Gigabyte do it.

Don't think they'll hassle you, but if they do, be firm and let them know THEY sent the defective mobo and you've been trying to get it to work, but both Gigabyte and GSkill say it's bad.

                        yeah, +1 for that.

Although, good news is if any of that stuff I wrote above gives error free round. All latencies can be then tweaked accordingly and we would know exactly where the problem is which would be nice.

One more time in clean row all values (got messy above on edits so this is same as my previous message):
                        Speed: 800Mhz
                        tCL: 5
                        tRCD: 5
                        tRP: 5
                        tRAS: 15
                        tWR: 8

tStatic Read = 10T (or make sure tRD Phase adjustment on everything is neutral at 9T)
                        Trd2rd(Different Rank) = 6T
                        Twr2wr(Different Rank) = 6T
                        Twr2rd(Different Rank) = 5T
                        Trd2wr(Same/Diff Rank) = 8T

                        DRAM Voltage: 2.1v
                        DRAM Termination: 1.050

Hello, I am writing on this forum with such a problem. I have neither the ability nor the desire to write an interesting, informative, competent, and creative work, so I would gladly turn to professionals for help. Guys, can you recommend this Essays.Assigncode service? Who knows what kind of people work here? Are they professionals or not?
