Hello, Andy here.
Here are my specs:
Mobo: GA-EP45-UD3R
RAM: G.Skill 2x2GB DDR2 1066Mhz.
CPU: Yorkfield q9550 Core 2 Quad 2.83Ghz
I talked to Tim from tech support and he guided me step by step with configuring my BIOS. He had me change my BIOS according to the guide. In addition to that, he had me tweak the tWE to 10 and the MCH Core to 1.400V. I had BSOD after ~5 minutes after program and system crashes with these settings.
Since working with him, I have played around with the settings based on other people's threads, including these:
http://www.gskill.us/forum/showthread.php?t=1169
http://www.gskill.us/forum/showthrea...ight=ep45-ud3r
I have tried changing my vCore voltage, my tRFC (both lower and higher than 68), amongst others.
I have tested each RAM stick in slot#2 of the motherboard. Each one worked fine, although they were incomplete tests on Prime95. I have also downclocked and ran both sticks at 800Mhz. I ran that setting on Prime95 up to Test#5 with no issues.
------------------------------------------
While typing this, I experienced a BSOD. I have now downclocked my settings to 800Mhz at 4-4-4-12.
My BIOS is updated to F11. Tim proposed that the motherboard most likely has an issue and should be replaced. At this point, I'm going to have to say that I agree with him.
Gotta end this post now out of paranoia of another BSOD. I should also be studying for a midterm, but I'll keep everyone posted. Thanks for reading.
