    RipjawsZ or TridentX PC3-19200 DDR3 2400mHz with Asrock X79 Extreme9 Motherboard

I am currently building my new system, and already I am in possession of multiple parts. I am now ready to make purchase of the memory, and would like to know what you as community members would advise I get between the RipJawZ and TridentX series.

When I started compiling my parts, it appeared the only PC3-19200 DDR3 2400mHz from G.Skill were the RipjawsZ, but as the availability of the RipjawsZ lessens; it appears the TridentX has boosted.

Which of the memory sticks would you place on a system and why, with the following;-

    - Asrock X79 Extreme 9 (Motherboard)
    - Intel i7 3930K (CPU)
    - Lian Li PC-P80N (Case)
    - Enermax Platimax 1500EGT (Power Supply)
    - Sapphire Radeon HD7970 OC (Graphics)

All suggestions would be much appreciated.

You don't mention how much, but of the lines available, I'd lean towards the Ripjaws Z, this line was designed around the 2011 Socket/X79 Chipset, so the advanced timings might be a bit tighter towards your rig, the Tridents are more aimed to the Z77 and 3rd Gen Ivy Bridge CPUs.....Either should actually work fine, didn't see a CPU cooler listed, but keep in mind you'll need to OC the CPU to run at 2400 and you'll want a fairly decent to good one with this CPU

Thanks Tradesman. I am looking at 32GB or 64GB. Whichever I will only be purchasing the 8GB sticks. I have budget to allow for a maxed out set up. As for the CPU cooler, I am debating between the corsair H100, an actual fan set up (e.g. noctua) or maybe going down the extreme route of liquid (leds likely as I need to be more confident in and understand the process, albeit the Lian li case does.accomodate such a set up).

Any further suggestions on both RAM and CPU cooler, all views would be truly valued.

If thinking 64GB might email or PM GSkill Tech, believe the only mobo they have certified is the Asus Rampage Extreme IV, 32GB though shouldn't be a problem, I'm runing 32GB of 2133/9 at 2400/10 on my Extreme 4 and have done so with an Extreme 6 - the 9 should have the lessons learned as I worked with ASRock to get the BIOS parameters up to snuff (originally they topped at 255 for tRFC and have now raised that to accommodate the higher 278 called for (and higher))

Please tell me Tradesman, you will come across anywhere manuals or instructions for setting up the BIOS for Asrock motherboard versions Extreme (6-9)? Despite the recent BIOS update is still very frequent cases of incorrect start-up, I think this is due to the voltage at the OC settings for the CPU and the memory itself at 2400.

With these parameters, the work of the PC is stable, reboot as well, but that's off and on again can be collapsed, no matter if I just turned on the frequency of 2400 or downloaded one of the profiles, XMP, is not stable normal turn very often the system does not go beyond the post code .

We need all of the settings for CPU and DRAM.

                Thank you

It seems to be all the settings sent more tune is nothing special in my opinion, if you have to ask what else!)))

Manually input the values you are sure of.

                        Thank you

That is all the same to try to enter the tRFC to 314?

Thank you very much, even a small shift relative to the initial value tRFC looks pretty stable at boot time, so far without problems coming. With the XMP did not try, apparently bios is not very ready for it.
