Hey my set up is 16G of G.SKILL Ripjaws Z F3-17000CL9Q 21333MHz ( set of 4) working stable Ram at 1866MHz (9-9-9-24) and cpu at 3957MHz with ASUS 890FX Crosshair IV FORMULA -Bios 2002- Still not overclock yet...

To Tman and Jawbone
To Jawbone, My system little older than yours so you can do it with the set of 4 (2133Mhz!) 16G ripjaws Z. My ASUS Crosshair IV Formula just allowing me to set RAM up to 1866MHz in Bios(2002!) Try to run my 1090T at 4100MHz and RAM at 955MHz but not stable! (by using both Turbo V and AMD Overdrive!) All others set at auto! 990Fx must have better RAM supporting!
To the Tman any solution to get my Ripjaws Z model F3-17000CL9Q-16GBZH working at 2000MHz and 2133Mhz. Trying to change it to (9-11-10-28) and 9-10-9-28 but I need the right voltages for all, can you post them for me. I will try it, thanks...

Had us excited for a minute, but in addition to different mobo, completely diff CPU, diff CPU architecture, diff MC (Memory controller) has nothing to do with 8120 this thread is about.
As far as your system, to try and stabilize 16GB at 2000-2133, would require higher voltages than I'd be comfortable even suggesting without being able to get my hands on the box and see the cooling and be able to monitor itLast edited by Tradesman; 12-10-2011, 08:01 PM.

Might try with only 2 sticks and see if you can them up to 2133 with the 1090T, then if so loosen base timings by one (i.e. if at 9-9-9-29 try 4 sticks at 10-10-10-30) and if needed slowly raise CPU/NB, DRAM and vCore voltages at say + .02 at a time, no guarantees, and keep an eye on temps

coconfirmed asus crosshair supporting for2sticks 2133Mhz at 2000MHz
Turn on turbo Evo get Auto tune-extr. will get you stable cpu at 3950Mhz and RAM to 1866MHz, from there take 2 sticks # 1and 3 out. Using turbo Evo downclocking cpu to 15.5 at around 3300MHz ( so you have more room to overclock RAM only!).Using AMD Overdrive up all Voltages to max green zones, keeping RAM at 1.65v, pumping up 3 points at a time from 232 to 255you will get cpu at around 3900MHz and RAM over 1000MHz not stable at 1024MHz! (otherwise will shocking pc and made it frozen!)...

Using AMD Overdrive+ Asus crosshair IV Formula+ AMD 1090T + 16g Ripjaws Z 2133MHZ. Ram up to 2070MHz!
