  • F3-16000CL9D-4GBRHD at 2133Mhz on SB?

    Hi,

The F3-16000CL9D-4GBRHD is advertised as 2000Mhz, but with a Sandy Bridge board, I can either run it at 1866 or 2133.

Currently running it at 1866Mhz, as the XMP profile suggests, on an Asus Sabertooth P67. The RAM appears on the QVL for this board and passes memtest and prime stress tests at 1866Mhz, with the default XMP profile values, 9-9-9-27 and 1.6v.

My question is how safe is it to run at 2133Mhz? Have you done any testing at 2133Mhz and if so, what are the recommended timings/voltage for 2133, if at all?

If running it at 2133Mhz is not recommended, can I lower the voltage a bit or tighten the timings a bit if only running it at 1866Mhz?

    Thank you for your time,
    oldseeker

Can try it at stock voltage (safe) at say 10-10-10-30 or 11-10-10-30, might want to bench it as is and then if stable at 2133 bench it there to see where the best performance is..........same, same with 1866, bench it then try 1866 at 8-8-8-24 or 8-7-8-24, with 1866 you may or may not be able to drop voltage, would drop in increments of .01 for testing

Pls offer comments on support I provide, HERE, in order to help me do a better job here:
