well like how i stated before, i have them in different colored slots.
putting them in the same colored slots, it will not boot up or POST or beep.

Could try reseating the CPU...but sounds like a CPU or mobo (most probable) problem

Pls offer comments on support I provide, HERE, in order to help me do a better job here:

i have tried reseating the cpu already. what just seems weird is, when i first flashed the bios to the most current one, it showed up as dual but then in a bit, it changed back to single mode..and thats even when i have them in different colored slots.

ram should be okay if i tested each of them in the first slot and boot up is okay right?

Yep, you may have a bad slot or more

how big of a difference would you say in performance if it is running in single versus dual?
i just dont want to deal with waiting for another mobo!

Roughly 15% loss for overall bandwidth, so not a great deal, but it is less. =/

I have the combination originally spec'd in this thread - M4A89GTD PRO/USB3 with the F3-10666 CL9D-8GBRL RAM - I am having major issues with either the RAM or the MB. I can't even get the system to POST (no beeps, no display) with the RAM installed - (both sticks, one stick, tried almost every combination).

When I take the RAM out I get the POST beeps for no RAM installed.

What would be dead? RAM or MB?

Don't have other parts to test with which is a major PITA.

Well, you have two modules, one motherboard,.. so in my opinion, try replacing the motherboard board.

Or if you purchased it recently, just send them all back and start fresh.

                  Thank you
