Ive got a set of the Ripjaw F3-12800CL7D-4GBRM
Gigabyte MA790GPT-UD3H motherboard running latest BIOS f4b
AMD Phenom II X3 720 2.8GHz processor.
Auto-detect settings on the motherboard set the RAM at DDR3-1333 (667Mhz)
changing the Multiplier from 6.66x to 8x to set the RAM at DDR3-1600 (800Mhz) causes the system to fail to boot.
Ive tried MANY different timings including the 8-7-7-24 2t 1.65v settings that were recommended in another thread here.
Nothing I can do will allow the computer to boot if the RAM is set at 800Mhz.
Just tried 9-7-7-24, 9-8-8-24, 9-9-9-24 and 10-9-9-24 at 1.65v. All failed to boot.
No word from Gigabyte yet.
If anyone can direct me as to what I need to do to get this working at 1600Mhz is appreciated.
