  • P55 xmp

    I have an EVGA P55 board I just recently purchased this ram G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9D-4GBNQ .

I went into the bios and set the XMP profile (its on auto) I booted into windows and ran CPUID and it doesnt show the ram at the XMP profile setting. I went back into the bios and XMP profile is still selected.
    Any Ideas?

Where did you look in CPU-Z? (Also there's a new version out if you don't already have it - see here:

    http://www.gskill.us/forum/showthread.php?t=12176

To find what you are running at want to look in the Memory tab - and keep in mind the Freq pane is going to show true freq or half what you are running since it's DDR (DOUBLE Data Rate) so if you have 1600 sticks it should show +/- 800....can look at my info thread on CPU-Z for additional info Here:

See my first post - you are looking at the SPD tab - not the memory tab. And the 10700 in Max Bandwidth you are seeing is the default boot settings/freq, which is explained in the CPU-Z info thread I referenced and provided a link to in my initial response to you

That shows the sticks at a freq of 1280, may want to set the DRAM manually to 1600 and drop the CR to 2T, appears the BIOS not setting things up correctly..if haven't already, check for BIOS updates
