Have my cpu at 4.7 right now and its running flawlessly. I have the memory at default though. So I confirmed it is INDEED the memory and has nothing to do with the cpu.

Sorry been out, more fires from MS and this transition, also last night (parts didn't arrive till 7PM, tore down and rebuilt 3 computers, sounds like you are making progress, that's a good thing

The CPU frequency is independent of DRAM memory. The memory controller is still in the CPU. The ability to overclock CPU frequency does not mean the CPU memory controller is good.

We have approved with NewEgg, so hopefully you have better luck with the new kit.
