    so everyone seem to agree that this latest firmware is rather useless ? certainly no performance gain and not even sure about if the garbage collector feature is doing it's job or not ?

    anyone else with a new report about the 1916 FW ?

      I become more an more DATA Corruption after Two Days the System becomes unbootable Chkdsk Messages as PopUp in Tray something like that
      i must restore an Acronis Backup because the System is unbootable after chkdsk.

      I Guess it could be something wrong with the TRIM and the Intel RapidStorage Drivers.

      I use
      ASUS P7P55D Deluxe Intel P55
      +
      Intel Rapid Storage Manager v9.6.0.1014 WHQL from Intelsite
      http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Deta...18859&lang=deu
      +
      G.Skill Falcon1 128GB FW1916

      Currently ive done a Fallback to Standard AHCI 1.0 Seriell-ATA-Controller
      the Original MS Drivers integrated in Windows7 Ultimate x64bit

      So i will check this if it happens again. Two times i had to restore my system last Week. Perhaps its a Drive Faliure.

      THE SSD DRIVE is Runnig 15 Hours a Day NonStop as SYSTEM Bootdrivebasis.

      UPDATE 28.03.2010:
      Today i had another Corruption of the Filesystem. With Original MS Drivers native Win7.

      I guess something is wrong with the TRIM so after some Days of Usage my Filesystem becomes Corrupt.

      Can i RMA my Drive in Germany. How Long does it take.

        I finally took the plunge and went for the 1916 FW.
        SURPRISE :

        Read and write went back up as they were with the old firmware 1571.

        I'm a happy camper. If it stay like this, it will be nice.

        Compare with the Old score with previous FW 1819 :

        Sequential Read : 174.240 MB/s
        Sequential Write : 87.284 MB/s
        Random Read 512KB : 143.807 MB/s
        Random Write 512KB : 82.012 MB/s
        Random Read 4KB : 29.304 MB/s
        Random Write 4KB : 6.809 MB/s

          I had another Filesystemcrash today. CHKDSK with many Faliures ->Unbootable again.

          Ive used the Orginal MS AHCI Drivers. Currently i turn TRIM Notification off.
          to Check if its the TRIM Function.

          [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\FileSystem]
          "DisableDeleteNotification"=dword:00000001
          "SymlinkLocalToLocalEvaluation"=dword:00000001
          "SymlinkLocalToRemoteEvaluation"=dword:0000000 1
          "SymlinkRemoteToLocalEvaluation"=dword:0000000 0
          "SymlinkRemoteToRemoteEvaluation"=dword:000000 00
          "Win31FileSystem"=dword:00000000
          "Win95TruncatedExtensions"=dword:00000001
          "NtfsAllowExtendedCharacter8dot3Rename"=dword:0000 0000
          "NtfsBugcheckOnCorrupt"=dword:00000000
          "NtfsDisable8dot3NameCreation"=dword:00000001
          "NtfsDisableCompression"=dword:00000000
          "NtfsDisableEncryption"=dword:00000000
          "NtfsDisableLastAccessUpdate"=dword:00000001
          "NtfsDisableVolsnapHints"=dword:00000002
          "NtfsEncryptPagingFile"=dword:00000000
          "NtfsMemoryUsage"=dword:00000000
          "NtfsMftZoneReservation"=dword:00000000
          "NtfsQuotaNotifyRate"=dword:00000e10
          "UdfsCloseSessionOnEject"=dword:00000003
          "UdfsSoftwareDefectManagement"=dword:00000000

          And i give the SSD a seperate Single Powercord to be sure that the Power is always stable.
          ive use a ENERMAX ELT620AWT

          So if this happens every 3rd Day i must RMA my FalconI 128GB Drive.

            if it's the same in IDE mode, you might have a brick.

              Since Deactivation of the TRIM Function in the Registry i have now a healthy Filesystem.

              I guess something goes wrong when trim is enabled. Ive tested both MS AHCI Drivers and the Latest 9.6.0 from Intel
