patience is one thing you must have if buying a G.Skill SSD

by the time G.Skill releases the 1916 firmware Indilinx will probably already have released an updated FW and the whole waiting process starts all over again

I appreciate G.Skill's testing policy and love the fact that their firmware's are always 100% stable (unlike OCZ and other manufacturer's who always seem to have issues, release beta firmwares to correct issues, bricked SSD's after flashing etc)...but does it really take months to test??...are they really changing any firmware code?

I don't care what u guys say. This is getting far too long. Im sure indelinx test the FW before they release it to the manufactures. I think they just have one guy servicing the whole world here.

                      Come on Gskill -

Step it up, my drive is slowing and I can't get wiper to work.

All we want is something that has been out on other Indilinx drives for a while....

why can't you get wiper to work?...it will work on the same OS where it it is executed but doing that will hose the OS after you reboot/restart.

i always insert a 2nd drive with the OS on it to run the wiper since i know it will destroy the OS on the SSD drive, at least it does for my Vista 64 OS...then, i use Acronis to recover my backup...works slick for me.

We are working to release the firmware as soon as we can. Unfortunately there was a Chinese New Year holiday this past week that delayed progress, but our engineers are back in and working hard to have it completed. We apologize for the inconvenience the delay may cause.

                          Thank you
