Set one of the "G" keys to lock Windows (Win + L)?
For the MX780 mouse, you can set a macro for "Win + L" with a delay of 0.02 seconds, then assign the macro to one of the keys. The issue is that recording Win+L would activate the lockout, so we recommend recording "Alt+L" first, then change the "Alt" key to "Win" key.
Make sure to save to device memory, or the settings may not apply for the next reboot.
Here's a detailed step by step:
1. Go to the "Macro" menu on the top left.
2. Click "+" under the macro name field to create a new macro. Name your macro if you wish.
3. Set the delay to a specified 20ms. Type "2" for 20ms.
4. Press the record button, and press "Alt+L" to record the macro. Then press the stop button to finish recording.
5. In the middle column, click to select the "Alt" command keystroke, then click the pencil icon on the bottom to edit this command, and press the "Win" key to change the command to the Windows key.
6. Then go to the "Customize" menu, and select the button you wish to assign the macro to. Select "Macro" from the dropdown menu, and choose the macro you just created, and click "OK" to confirm.
7. Click "Save to device memory" on the left column to save the settings.
We've also created an exported macro file for you to import. (In the Macro menu, below the dropdown menu for macro names, click the gear icon and select "Import" to choose a *.Macro file to import the macro).
