  • abnormal memory, 64gb 1600mhz kit

When i put all 8 sticks, d1 and d2 read as abnormal, and it loads only 48gb of ram. I took the two sticks from d1 and d2 and put them in the two right next to them (i guess c1 and c2), i left the d1 and d2 empty, and it loaded all the 48gb fine, which could mean that the sticks are fine?

Then i put these two back into d1 and d2, leaving c1 and c2 empty, and again it worked fine.

    How should i troubleshoot this?

Holy crap that's a lot of memory.

To troubleshoot sticks for defects, run Memtest86+ with one stick at a time.

What CPU/Mobo are you using? You could be limited by those, in which you could try a lower frequency (offset with tighter timings for performance).

    64GB of RAM. That's...quite awesome!
