I live in the Adelaide Hills in South Australia and I am in the process of assembling my computer.
I have installed an Asrock Z68 Extreme 7 Gen 3 motherboard in a Thermaltake Level 10 GT case.
I have installed an Intel i5-3570K Ivy Bridge CPU and I am currently looking for suitable ram.
I intended to get G.Skill Ripjaws-X 8G Kit(4Gx2) DDR3 2133 F3-17000CL9D-8GBXLD which Asrock list as suitable.
Unfortunately the ram listed as suitable by Asrock for my motherboard is not available from my suppliers locally or interstate in Australia.
Also the Asrock list of suitable ram does not specify which ram is better suited to the Ivy Bridge.
Is there any reason I cannot use G.Skill Ripjaws-X 8G Kit(4Gx2) DDR3 2133 F3-17000CL11D-8GBXL ram ?
This ram is listed as being compatible with:
ASRock P67 Extreme 6 motherboard
ASRock Fatal1ty Z68 Professional motherboard
ASRock Z68 Extreme4 motherboard
What problems would I risk introducing if I were to use this ram on my Z68 Extreme 7 Gen 3 motherboard ?
As I am going to be using an Ivy Bridge i5-3570K CPU I would like to use ram more suited to this CPU.
One other ram option available to me is G.Skill Ripjaws-X 8G Kit(4Gx2) DDR3 1866 F3-14900CL9D-8GBXL
Which is listed as being compatible with:
ASRock Fatal1ty Z68 Professional
ASRock Z68 Extreme4
ASRock Fatal1ty P67 Professional
ASRock P67 Extreme 6
ASRock P67 Extreme 4
Thank you
Thunder Bird.
