I've done some research which points both errors at memory issues. I've eliminated all possibilities of software issues by completely reformatting. Additionally, nothing in my setup, either hardware nor software, has changed in the last week.

Beginning 1 or 2 days ago my desktop has been plagued with bluescreens and overall consistent and unusual program crashes (any program could fail to start or crashed on exit). I booted memtest86 and got an error loop on pass #2 overnight. Once again, everything is suggesting hardware failure, and most likely memory specifically.

I am currently in the process of testing each stick seperately, with one of them causing a bluescreen (and extremely awkward issues like keyboard lag at the login screen). I am currently on my second chip and have had zero issues for about an hour thus far. If I can go a few more days, it looks like it's confirmed my second (currently uninstalled) chip is faulty.

Now, I purchased these chips about 12 months ago and have had no issues up until now. My question being: If it's determined that one of my chips is failing, is there any sort of warranty I call fall back on at this time?

Aside from that, does anyone disagree with my troubleshooting or has any suggestions on what else I can do for the time being? Especially under the circumstance that I start bluescreening with either chip, if that should start happening?

I'd make sure you have the latest BIOS, then test each stick individually with Memtest, from the sounds of it the one may be going bad, should see with the first 5 passes or so of memtest. If one or both test bad, will want to look into an RMA

Pls offer comments on support I provide, HERE, in order to help me do a better job here:
