whats the difference ?

i see that the Z is $10 more

people tell me to get the X.

Either will work, the X series is designed for the 1155 mobo and the Z series is more X79/socket 2011 oriented. I'm running the X series 32GB 2133/CL9 on a Z77/3570K combo, runs great
