  • 2x F3-19200CL11Q-16GBZHD + ASUS Rampage IV Extreme

    I have two sets of F3-19200CL11Q-16GBZHD. I can not get them to work at a frequency of 2400 MHz. At a frequency of 1600 MHz and 1866 MHz works fine, but at a frequency of 2400 MHz does not pass the test in MemTest86+

    Asus Rampage Extreme @ BIOS 4 1305
    Intel Core i7-3930K

    CPU VCCSA = 1.3 V
    DRAM CHAB = 1.65 V
    DRAM CHCD = 1.65 V
    Rampage Tweak = Mode 1

    Tell me how to get to work in both sets of the motherboard.

    Thank you.

    With two sets of DRAM, even of the same model, it can be problematic, and as you've probably found XMP won't work, so I'd suggest dropping VCCSA to 1.25, Raise CPU/VTT to 1.24 or so (to balance those out) and start w/ the DRAM at 1.65, but be prepared to raise it a bit. Also might want to start with the CPU multiplier around 44, give that a try and let us know how it goes

      Ok, now I will try.
      More exactly, if I install only one set - everything is working fine at a frequency of 2400 MHz, using the XMP

      Currently X.M.P. not used of course.

        Give it a try and let me know, then if needed we can try adjustments to voltages and timings if needed

          Now in MemTest86+ system has successfully passed the first five tests.
          Unless overclock the processor - the error appears even in the first two tests.
          Later I will try to reduce the degree of acceleration. My system does not have sufficient cooling. (Corsair H100).

          Many thanks for your help.
          PS: Below is screenshot of RC TweaIt with the current settings.

          If the multiplier = 40 errors are back.
          Now check if the multiplier = 42, and DRAM CLK Period = 6 ==> Error
          Multiplier = 42, DRAM CLK Period = Auto ==> Error
          Multiplier = 43 ==> Error

              Returned back to the multiplier = 44, but the system still does not pass tests ...
              Strangely, the first time all went well ...

                Might try increasing DRAM voltage + .02 and/or VTT another + .03

                  Currently switched the BIOS to reserve - to load the default settings.
                  Multiplier = 44
                  BCLK = 100 MHz
                  Enhanced Intel SpeedStep = Disabled
                  Turbo Mode = Disabled

                  VTT CPU = 1.275
                  CPU VCCSA = 1.28
                  DRAM Volt. = 1.68
                  Primary Timings is:
                  CAS # = 11
                  RAS # to CAS # = 11
                  RAS # Precharge = 11
                  RAS # ACT = 31
                  COMMAND = 2
                  All other timings are Auto by default.

                  But it did not work - the system still fails the test passes.

                      I tried to raise the voltage associated with memory. Who are they:
                      VTTDDR = 0.7625
                      DRAM CTRL REF = 0.525
                      DRAM DATA REF = 0.525
                      DRAM READ REF = 0.525

                      CPU VCCSA = 1.3
                      DRAM Volt. = 1.7
                      But it did not work, stability is still there.
                      Now throw off everything in the default, will try again.

                      At first it seemed that the situation is improving, but after a couple of tests and reboots it turned out that it is not - the error returned. Although immediately after raising the voltage to a certain level MemTest86 + has reached the sixth test, no errors at all.

                      Timings are set as follows:
                      CAS # = 11
                      RAS # to CAS # = 11
                      RAS # PRE = 11
                      RAS # ACT = 31
                      COMMAND = 2

                      Secondaey timings are (In brackets, I said the maximum value for my BIOS.):
                      RAS # to RAS # Delay = 7 (maximum)
                      REF Cycle Time = 214 (511 max)
                      WRITE Recovery Time = 20 (31 max)
                      READ to PRE Time = 10 (15 max)
                      FOUR ACT WIN Time = 30 (63 max)
                      WRITE To READ Delay = 10 (15 max)
                      WRITE Latency = 8 (15 max)

                      Third timings are (and I can not install more, this is the maximum):
                      tRRDR = 7
                      tRRDD = 7
                      tWWDR = 7
                      tWWDD = 7
                      tRWDR = 15
                      tRWDD = 15
                      tWRDR = 7
                      tWRDD = 7
                      tRWSR = 15
                      tCCD = 7

                        Could try

                        Ref Cycle time 255
                        Write Recoverery 17
                        Read to Pre Time 9
                        For Act Win -31
                        Write to read 9

                        Not positive if it will help, but think it might

                          I'm sorry, but I do not understand how to set up FOUR ACT WIN Time = -31. That is, set a negative value? My BIOS allows me to install only positive values.
                          Now I set the values as indicated, except for FOUR ACT WIN Time. This value I set in 31, that is a positive value.
                          The first three test MemTest86 succeed.
                          Now I will perform the first six tests, and if the error will not restart my system several times and try to run the tests again.
                          Thank you.

                            The system still does not pass the test.
                            Now configure the following:

                            Multiplier = 40
                            BCLK = 100
                            VTT CPU = 1.28125
                            CPU VCCSA = 1.28
                            DRAM Volt. = 1.675
                            VTTDDR = 0.775
                            DRAM CTRL REF = 0.53
                            DRAM DATA REF = 0.53
                            DRAM READ REF = 0.53

                            Timings are set as follows:
                            CAS # = 11
                            RAS # to CAS # = 11
                            RAS # PRE = 11
                            RAS # ACT = 31
                            COMMAND = 2

                            Secondary timings are:
                            RAS # to RAS # Delay = 7
                            REF Cycle Time = 255
                            WRITE Recovery Time = 17
                            READ to PRE Time = 9
                            FOUR ACT WIN Time = 31
                            WRITE To READ Delay = 9
                            WRITE Latency = 8

                            If I set the Multiplier = 44 error becomes much greater.
