  • [ RipjawsZ ] F3-12800CL10Q2-64GBZL (8Gx8) with Intel DX79SI

Its not in the comp. list, any chance to run this kit on the mobo? (@DDR-3 1600)?

BTW: didn't tested G.Kill the mem with the mobo or its only not compatible!?

    Thank you!

It should, yes, might want ensure you have the latest BIOS, and also want to check with Intel and see if their latest BIOS encompasses 64GB under XMP 1.3, have seen where some of their mobos aren't ready for 64GB sets yet

Pls offer comments on support I provide, HERE, in order to help me do a better job here:

Intel added XMP 1.3 support in a later bios version (0430).

      BTW:
In my opinion G.Skill should use Intel mainboards for default testing.
(Each Kit should be tested on a org. Intel mobo)

Ideally that would be a good idea, and vice versa, the mobo manufacturers should tet with the available DRAM.......problem there is for say GSkill it would amount to testing up to about 190 sets of sticks each on appr 250 mobos, not to mention having to retest all the sets each time a manufacturer issues a new BIOS version..... For the mobo makers it's even worse, overall there are in excess of 800 possible DRAM products out there in DDR3 alone. Think I figured a couple years ago that if they used 2 people 40 hours a week they could never keep up with the testing that would be needed

It would be nice, in that world, every motherboard would just be compatible with every memory kit.

We do test with Intel motherboards sometimes, but the problem is the motherboard and BIOS capabilities. It can be difficult to work with Intel for a BIOS that can support DDR3-2400 or 64GB. They don't really support ultra high performance, so it is not easy to iron out the problems.

          Thank you
