I would like to get as much performance out of the memory as I can. Not being a person who tweaks beyond what the MB auto detects....Can you tell me the settings that are needed to achieve this.
What CPU are you running? To start check the BIOS and see what the sticks are at, if all on default, they may be at 1333, if so, can go into BIOS, enable XMP, select profile 1, and you'll be up to 1600 for starters
Pls offer comments on support I provide, HERE, in order to help me do a better job here:
I am running the i7-970, I enabled XMP and selected profile 1. The memory is running at 1600. CPUID say's DRAMM Frequency 799.5, FSB DRAM 2:12, CL 9.0, tRCD 9, tRP 9, tRP 9,tRAS 24, tRFC 110, CR 2T.
NM Frequency 2665.0MHz. Any more steps?
Your right on to spec, biggest overall boost would be to OC your 970, for the DRAM can get a performance boost by trying the CR at 1T (might take a slight ( +.02) DRAM voltage increase, could also try disabling XMP and try the sticks at 1866, 10-10-10-28, 2T, 1.55 (might require a slight QPI/VTT boost (aound + .03)
