Compatibility question x79 chipset

New build.. on the package of the ram it shows designed for z68 p67 platforms bUT i beleave the qvl for the saberthooth had this ram listed so i am woundering if i will have any issues with this set up?

Should be fine, go ahead and try with XMP, your mobo actually uses XMP 1.3 and the sticks are XMP 1.2 but should be fine, ensure you have the latest BIOS for the mobo, if any problems will simply need to input the settings manually. And on the QVL, ASUS uses whatever sticks they have available, you can often fine sticks that were discontinued before the mobo even came to market like many of the Tridents and Flares. If any problems give us a shout, but again, should be fine.
