  • Results of my New ARES kit on a Maximus III Gene

    Hi this is my first time posting here and I will like to share some info with this forum. I resently bought an ARES memory kit for my Maximus III Gene board and surprisingly I have then working like a charm with FANCY CACHE, I did a ramcache drive and this are my results without tweaking to the max, just a mild tweak. At first I had to reset CMOS first and the computer boot up the ram at 1600Mhz then after that all the setting U have to do it manually, but I love them. well my bad I can't up load a pic of ANVIL screenshot to show the results.

      See I'm not a expert OC ing but I will like to tweak my system to at less 4.0 Mhz on air and be able to clock my memory to their expecification, 2133Mhz @ timing 9-11-10-24. Could you give some tips on what I need to setup on my bios on the tweak section to be able to have a stable configuration, thanks in advance

        Here's a couple of guides to OCing the 870:

        These are pretty good general guides, if you need any specific help with you mobo, just give a shout

          Well, Mr. Tradesman I got me a stable system @ 4212.6Mhz = 21x200.6Mhz, Memory Speed@1600Mhz Timing 9-9-9-24-2@1.65V.
          According PC PROBE II a software from ASUS that measured the reading of different volt readings:
          CPU=1.32V
          CPU PLL=1.90V
          IMC=1.32V
          PCH=1.06V
          DRAM Bus 1.66V that is even do I have set the manually to 1.65V according the mem specs.
          I tray to set the memory frequency to at less 2000Mhz and I get a blue screen, then I have to lower back to 1600Mhz. But with this setup it runs fine for me.
