  • Overclock F3-12800CL9D-4GBXL and M5A97 EVO

I'm trying to overclock two kits of F3-12800CL9D 4GBXL with the motherboard ASUS M5A97 EVO, but without success. I am unable to system stability by lowering the timings to 8-8-8-24 2T with voltage of 1.65v. I bought these kits just to overclock and deeply disappointed me. I wonder how to configure the timings and voltage in order to have a stable overclock. The North Bridge is set to 2800 MHz, the CPU VCore at 1.4V and the memory voltage at 1.65v.

    My Specs:

    CPU: AMD Phenom II x6 1100T 3.3 @ 4 GHz
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 912 Plus
    Memory: 2x F3-12800CL9D-4GBXL (8GB Total)
Motherboard: ASUS M5A97 EVO BIOS 1004

First thing, anytime you mix two sets of DRAM it can be problematic, especially if it's 1600 or better sticks and especially if it's on the AMD platform. Not sure what it is your attempting, whether it's you want to tighten timings, your showing 8-8-8-24 with CL9 sticks or if you want to OC the DRAM you show a 2800 NB freq which is normal for 1866 sticks....if trying to OC the DRAM, i.e. 1866, I'd set the DRAM voltage to 1.6, timings to 10-10-10-30, 2T and raise the CPU/NB + .14 to start.

I'd suggest getting the two sets stable first at 1600 and then work from there

Pls offer comments on support I provide, HERE, in order to help me do a better job here:
