    Ripjaws-X F3-1600C9Q-32GXM two xmp profiles?

    Hi!

    I got a new 32 GB Kit

    In bios i can load two xmp profiles, but whats the difference between them?



    CPU-Z show - no - difference !?

    Mostly, that text doesn't mean anything. When you select a profile in BIOS, you gotta check the settings yourself and compare to advertised settings on the sticks or boxing, timings, speed and voltage.

    For example, mine says 9-8-9-25-1t 1.6v on the xmp profile. But it sets 8-9-8-24-2t 1.6v in bios, which is correct according to specs on its webpage or label on the ram. So it sets correctly but the text is wrong.

      One is for XMP ver 1.2 the other is the newer XMP ver 1.3 used by the 2011 socket X79s

          Yes, with the release of the X79 and ver 1.3 of XMP, GSkill is taking some of the models that have been around awhile and adding XMP 1.3 settings to the SPD, generally it's near same and more likely to be seen in the advanced timings
