  • New build and IE crashes w/ memory fault

    Hi-
I have a brand new build where the OS loads without issue (Win7 x64 Home Prem) but once done, IE crashes repeatedly throwing a memory error. Have not experienced a BSOD and no other software is loaded. The issue occurs in both instances - just after installing Win7 from disk, and after letting all updates install.

    The Error:
    - Starts with a pop-up: "Out of memory at line: X" when connecting to various sites
    - Followed by: "IE has stopped working -> Close Program or Check online for Solution"
    - App EventLog states fault was in MSHTML.DLL

I have done to the following to see if i can isolate a MB or Memory or Disk issue:
    - reloaded Windows on a different drive connected to a different sata port
    - moved the dimm to the 2nd dimm slot
    - ran Memtest86 overnite while the dimm was in both slots (no errors reported)
    - Kept generic Win7 video drivers; installed video drivers that accompanied MB; installed latest ATI drivers (IE crashed in all 3 instances).
    - loaded Firefox (version 7 then 10) and it crashed

    Config:
    MB: Biostar A800G+ (NB:AMD 880G; SB:AMD SB710; integrated ATI Radeon HD 4250)
    CPU: AMD ATH II X3 450 3.2G AM3 RT
    MEM: F3-10666CL9S-4GBNT
    DSK: Seagate ST31000528AS

Any thoughts what else I could do?

      Trp: 9 CLK
      Tras: 24 CLK
      Trrd: 4 CLK
      Trc: 33 CLK
      CR: 1T

Can't find your mobo on the net, can try w/ CR at 2T and raise CPU/NB voltage + .03

Guess it would help to put the correct MB in... Biostar A880G+

Will try making the change to CR and voltage.

PSU is Aspire ATX-AS420W 12v and yes, drivers and bios is current

If the above doesn't do it, you can check you have the latest BIOS:

            http://206.108.48.60/app/en/mb/intro...S_ID=492&tab=2

Also if problems is CPU/NB freq at 2000 or so
