Sniper series and X79

I have four sticks of F3-14900CL9D-8GBSR Sniper series memory. Will it function with an X79 based MoBo? Memory says it's XMP ready. I'm looking at the Asrock Extreme 9.

They'll work with the mobo, although the X79 uses XMP 1.3 vs the 1.2 utilized by the Snipers and most sticks on the market. I'd go ahead and try enabling XMP and check to see if the settings match the stick's specs i.e. 9-10-9-28, and if not, then manually set them. Some mobos pick them up fine, others are off a bit
