Difference between these two sets of G.SKILL ram...??

I'm trying to make a decision on ram for my Asus Maximus IV Extreme-Z / 2600k system, and was wondering what the difference between these two sets of sticks is?

Different chips, the Ripjaws Z newer design, and are XMP 1.3 backward compatible to XMP1.2 (your mobos version), Snipers are straight XMP 1.2

The slight -1 diff in tRP as you mention, also believe the F3-17000CL9Q-16GBZHD comes with a cooling fan, that's generally what the D at the end of the model stands for
