  • Asus M4A785T-M issue with 4x2GB RAM

    Hi,
Recently i upgraded my PC from 4gb to 8gb of RAM and it is not starting up with all 4 sticks. My settings are as follows.

    RAM- 2GBx4 Gskill F3-10666CL8D DDR3-1333 PC3-10666 CL 8-8-8-24 1.5v
CPU- AMD Athlon II X2 250
    OS- Win7 64bit
Memory clock set mannually to 8-8-8-24 and Voltage to 1.5 Frequency - 667MHz
    CPU-NB Frequency - 2000

PC works fine with 2 sticks in memory slots A1 and A2. But it was working fine for 2 days with 4 sticks (8gb) for 2 days and it crashed. I reset the bios and it detected all 8gb once more, but again crashed.

Now pc wont start at all with all 4 sticks in slots. i did the following.

tested all 4 sticks individually in A1 channel- OK
    Tested Pair 1 in A1 & A2- OK
    Tested pair 2 in A1 &A2- OK
    Tested Pair 1 in B1 & B2- failed
    Tested pair 2 in B1 & B2- failed
    Tested 1 stick in B1 - Failed
Tested 1 stick in B2- Failed

    RAM in Unganged mode

Can anyone suggest me the correct settings or is it a Motherboard problem?

    Thanks.

    Try pair 1 in A1 A2, the other set in B1 B2, raise CPU/NB voltage + .07 and raise DRAM voltage + .05

Pls offer comments on support I provide, HERE, in order to help me do a better job here:

It should be one kit is A1 B1, another in A2 B2, but since B is not working, it sounds like motherboard may be defective.

      Thank you
