  • Installing the heatspreader and warranty

I am going to install a heatspreader on G.Skill Value ram (F3-10600CL9D-8GBNT)

It is a ordinary aluminum heatspreader with tape inside and fixed with a spring. I am leaving a stickers as is, so labels will be inside under the heatspreader.

Will it void the warranty? I am not sure if it will be possible to remove the spreader later (in case of RMA) without damaging the label because the thermal tape might be adhesive

    Thank you

I wouldn't think so, however, can drop the GSkill folks a note to check this come Monday (they are off weekends, if you were to would suggest moving the adhesive from where the label is

Pls offer comments on support I provide, HERE, in order to help me do a better job here:

It is probably best if you do not apply thermal adhesive tape directly on the warranty sticker..

      Thank you
