  • Help with F3-14900CL9D-8GBSR 1866

    • SPECS:
    • Asus P8Z68 Deluxe/GEN3
    • Intel 2600k i7
    • G.SKILL Sniper Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 (PC3 14900) Desktop Memory Model F3-14900CL9D-8GBSR

I'll say outright, I'm a newbie to OC'ing. But from what I've gathered reading threads here, is in the BIOS select the DDR3 - 1866 XMP and I should be good to go.

My question is, how do I know if the RAM is operating at what it should? I have CPU-Z but I don't know what I'm looking at to confirm the settings are right. (The CAS timings are correct though )

There are no problems, I just want to make sure I'm not screwing anything up.

Again I apologize for my inexperience and I thank you for your time.

Run CPU-Z and take a look at the Memory Tab, it will tell your the freq and timings you are running at - keep in mind the freq should reflect appr 933 for 1866 sticks since it's DDR (Double Data Rate) or 933 x 2 = 1866

Pls offer comments on support I provide, HERE, in order to help me do a better job here:
