I bought F3-10666CL9D-8GBSR(4G*2) memory from NewEgg for my Dell PowerEdge T110 II server for memory upgrade. The server can not boot at all (I mean it did not pass bios) after I installed the memory chips. I just wonder whether

    1) this is because of compatibility, or
    2) something wrong with memory chip

    Thanks for your help.

Did you try them 1 stick at a time? Do you have the latest BIOS? WIll pull up the specs on the Dell and see if I can find anything later today.

Pls offer comments on support I provide, HERE, in order to help me do a better job here:

I did try to add both, or to add only one, none of them worked. But I did notice that F3-10666CL9D-8GBSR is non-ECC, and all chips which recommended by NewEgg for Dell PowerEdge T110 ii are ECC.

Maybe ECC issue is the answer?

      Thanks.

For this server, it is best to use ECC registered memory.
