  • What is the best Memory for intel G620?

Hello, I'm trying to build a new pc, so It can be upgradable next year.
    So the motherboard will be a Asrock Z68 Extreme3 Gen3 with a Intel G620 or a G840.
My problem is what memory to buy?
Next year, if I can, I'll buy a Intel Ivy bridge, and I want to use the memory.
    G620 only support DDR3-1066 and G840 support DDR3-1066/1333.
In Asrock, the memory 1600 list gives:
    F3-12800CL9D-8GBSR2
    F3-12800CL9D-4GBECO
    F3-12800CL7D-4GBECO 58?
    F3-12800CL9D-4GBNQ 42?
Can I use any of this DDR3 1600 memories or do i have to buy 1066 or 1300 memories.
    Thank you.

Sort of limited to 1333 w/ the 840, could prob go 1600 and run them at 1333 with a tighter CL

      Thanks for the reply.
So, by what o are saying, is that I could use a DDR3 1600, but in bios I had to under clock it.
The intel G620 only with DDR3 1066 and G840 would be better with DDR3 1333?
What GsKill memory do you advise.

      Thank You

I'd look at the RipjawX (designed for the P67 and Z68, Next gen CPUs) or the Snipers in 1333

Ok, so the best is a intel G840 that supports DDR3 1333.
Next problem, I have a Mugen II rev B CPU cooler:

The size for the memory can it be 40mm?
The motherboar Asrock Z68 Extreme3 Gen3 is big and I think that the cooler does doesn't expand over the memory blocks but the wind fan will be.
It's possible the metal coller or the fan to touch the memory metal cooler without any electrical or heta problems?
          Thanks

I've had systems where the plastic of the fan 'touches the heatsinks, just want to avoid pressure on them that may hamper the connections in the DIMM socket

Should be no problem as long as the fan is on the other side.

              Thank you
