No, the DRAM should be fine, might suggest raising the CPU/NB about .05 and dropping the DRAM some to maintain stability and less stress on sticks and MC

    Gigabyte ga-ma785gmt-ud2h f3-12800cl9d-4gbrl

Here are my components and BIOS settings for my HTPC (which I love):
    • MoBo=GIGABYTE GA-MA785GMT-UD2H
    • Memory=F3-12800CL9D-4GBRL (2 of them for 4GB)
    • AMD Athlon II X2 250 Regor 3.0 GHz 2x1 MB L2 Cache Socket AM3 65W
    • Not overclocked running at 3.0Ghz
    • Memory settings = 9, 9, 9, 24, 2T, 1600
    • DDR3 Voltage = DEFAULT which is 1.600V
    • Everything else is default or auto

The system ran fine for a year with the settings above.
Tonight I added 2 more of the same memory for a total of 8GB.
When voltage was at default (1.600V) I got a BSOD within minutes.
I added +0.100 to the DDR3 memory voltage for 1.700V and all seems fine.

    Questions:
    1) Am I frying my memory?
    2) Should I up the voltage on something else instead?
    3) Would you suggest other settings?

Thanks in advance for the help,
    Kent
