Hey there, I have just finished building my computer. I have a rampage 3 formula with an intel core i7 960. I purchased the F3-12800CL9T-12GBRL kit and the timings are rated at 1600. When I go to the bios they are set to 1066. So to get the 1600 timings I set the profile to X.M.P. Once I do this I can never get the computer to boot. It just says overclocking failed.
Things I have tried:
1.) Set X.M.P. (failed)
2.) Set speed and timings manually (failed)
3.) Set DRAM Bus Voltage to 1.64 (failed)
I did test each stick individually and none of them were stable at 1600. I can only get them to 1333.
Is there any safe way to get them at there rated speeds or do I have to RMA them?
Fast reply would be greatly appreciated thanks!
