  • Problems with Ram Cards in Dual Channel Set Up

so i finally built my own pc for the first time

i bought 2 4GB G.Skill Ripjaw Series DDR3 1600 cards and I heard to get the best performance from them i need to have them a dual channel setup (which on my board channel A is the 2nd and 4th slot)

the problem is, that when i have this set up (cards on slot 2 and 4) my computer wont boot, i turn it on, it will shut off after about 2-3 seconds, restart, then shut off,

its basically looped, keeps on doing that over and over, but it works fine when i have them on slot 3 & 4, my computer recognizes them fine

i have updated(flashed) the bios to the latest version and that didn't help

    My Rig Is

    Gigabyte GA-Z68XP-UD3P
    2x 4GB G.Skill Ripjaw Series DDR3 1600 Memory
    Intel i5 2500k Sandy-bridge CPU (cooled with a Corsair H60 Hydro Cooler)
    EVGA GTX 560 GPU
    Cooler Master GX 650w PSU
and if it matters, the case is a Azza Solano 1000R

First thing, do you have the latest BIOS? F5E? can be found here:

    http://www.gigabyte.us/products/prod...?pid=3912#bios

Also want to check that the sticks are firmly seated, if still problems try in 1-2, can try resetting CMOS, and could also try running Memtest on each stick individually to see if you have a bad stick.

Pls offer comments on support I provide, HERE, in order to help me do a better job here:

Did you hard reset the BIOS with the button on the motherboard? If problem persists, you will need to send the motherboard in for RMA.

      Thank you
