  • GSKILL F3-10666CL9Q-16G on MSI 790FX-GD70 Freezing

I am exepreince random freezes after upgradeing to 16GB of F3-10666CL9Q. My current setting are 9-9-9-24 2T on an MSI 790FX-GD70 with bios 1.17 (Latest). I was able to run memtest86+ for 3 hours without and issue but when running in Windows 7 x64 it will freeze after a day or 2. I had this same problem previously and it was due to the memory not being compatible with AMD CPU's. My system specs are below and thanks in advance fro the help.

    AMD Phenom 2 x4 955 (Deneb)
    MSI 790FX-GD70 (Bios 1.17)
    16GB GSKILL F3-10666CL9Q (9-9-9-24 2T)
    NVidia 9800GTX+

With an AMD CPU you may need to raise the DRAM voltage about .05 and/or the CPU/NB voltage about the the same .05 to .075

Pls offer comments on support I provide, HERE, in order to help me do a better job here:

I bumped my voltage and that actually made it more unstable. I moved my CPU from 1.400 to 1.4175 an my RAM from 1.5 to 1.55 and it almost crashed immediately. I read soem posts on the forums and it appears as tough there is an issue with 16GB of RAM on AMD CPU's. Is this still an issue on the more recent CPU's.
