  • F3-17000CL11D-8GBXL at CL9 timings?

I'm thinking about buying this set at Newegg, incredible deal right now.
If I bump the voltage to 1.65v, can this set run with 9-11-9-28 timings?
I realize that I probably can't do 2133MHz with my Thuban X6, but I have Bulldozer X8 in mind.

It really depends on the two kits you get, if you get a really good set, it may be capable.

    Thank you

I passed on the deal, didn't want to be stuck with CL11 timings if they couldn't do CL9.
Let me know how you make out with this set.
I just notice that you have your 570 core at 972, are you cooling it with a water block?

IF and only IF you can get to DDR3-2133 at stock timings in the first place. Try DDR3-1866 8-8-8-24-1T @ 1.65V first. Chances are because the stock timings are quite high you won't be able to go CL7. Good luck.

I plan on running them @2133 CL 10 (SB loves high frequency and CL 10 is still great for it )
i think i can get them to run CL10 1.55~1.625v if not ..o well 75$ shipped ? ..i would keep them for every day use and have my PI series (2x2) for benching and what not,i just need more RAM for Mastercam X5
as for 570 Vanilla...love it (3D Mark 11~ P7373) ,plan to SLI with 570 Classy

P.S. will let you know what the outcome will be with this sticks ,i will get them in about 1~2 days

Nice looking rig, believe me, you won't regret 570's in SLI.
I'm now testing my 2x2GB Flare set on my new Crosshair V Formula.
Currently running at 2023MHz with 7-9-7-24 (1T) timings.
Ultra fast setup, I finish HyperPI 32M runs in just over 18 minutes.
Don't really need 8GB at this time, but will probably switch back to the 2x4GB RipjawsX set when Bulldozer arrives.

                  F3-17000CL11D-8GBXL at CL9 timings?

i just got my 8Gb few min ago ,here is first crack at it (1.55v)

back to molesting my sticks and see what i can get out of it.. lol

                  EDIT:
                  UPDATE;

OK i think i found what i was looking for ..4.700Ghz i can run this sweet kit @ 2133 10-11-10-30-1T (1.575v) stable Hyper PI /P95/Gflops

for 5.0Ghz i had to increase VCCIO and up the voltage to 1.612v to get it stable ,over all i'm VERY happy ,in comparison to 4Gb PI @2133 9-10-9-28-1T (1.594v) you can see the performance in Maxxmem (same or better and lover voltage at 4.7Ghz for 24/7)

                  Uploaded with ImageShack.us

                  THANK YOU GSkill !!!

@OP i want to apologize for high-jacking your thread ,i just want to spread the word (there is nothing around the internet about this sticks and they sure should be noticed )
                  Thanks

EDIT ; 10-11-10-27-1T is good enough

                    niceee great work

this kit is under the radar because people are not use to CL11 G.Skill. It is 1.50V, so it actually has a lot of play room.

                    Enjoy!

Has anyone been able to get the F3-17000CL11D-8GBXL to run at 7-8-7-24 2T at ddr3 1600 speeds?

Without being able to put my hands on the combo, I'd guess possibly CL8 is more realistic, would think 7 would require more MC, VCCSA and DRAM voltage that I'd really be comfortable with, and while performance may be near true 2133 or a bit better, think it more likely to get real performance boost from the 2133 at CL9 which is prob possible with out to much problem

Pls offer comments on support I provide, HERE, in order to help me do a better job here:
