  • G.SKILL DDR3 1333 for LGA 775?

    Hello

I'm looking forward for two 2gb modules of g.skill ddr3 ram and i'm not really sure which of them will work best on my board.

After my nforce 780i SLI board died, i couldn't find any high end socket 775 motherboard as all of them have been discontinued and this is the only thing i found in stock:
    http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/Int...75/P5G41TM_LX/

    Alright, i'm between these two:
    F3-10666CL7D-4GBRH http://www.gskill.com/products.php?index=223
    F3-10666CL7D-4GBXH http://www.gskill.com/products.php?index=342

My main preference are the 1st ones, but none of them are featured on the qualified vendors from asus.
    The mobo supports ddr3 1333 and i'll be using it along a Q9550 and a gtx 470

    Greetings

Those should both work, if anything may have to raise the NB Voltage a hair to run CL7, or drop CL to 8

Pls offer comments on support I provide, HERE, in order to help me do a better job here:

But will both work at fully potential? This is a rly cheap mobo

Will they run at 1333/CL7? Yes they should, but as mentioned may require an adjustment to to the NB Voltage and /or DRAM voltage as they are specified as an OC speed

Thanks idd, wasn't really sure of what did (OC) mean in that case.
I've read reviews about the actual low-end targeted socket 775 in the market and in most of them you have to manually set the standard mem voltage for making the system stable like you mentioned.

I also noticed that the 1st ones i linked are 7-8-7-24 while the ripjaws X are 7-7-7-21
Which are the best choice? If they're the same the ripjaw X heatsking is more efficient right?

          Thanks

the 7-7-7-21 would be slightly higher performance though the only place you'll see it is in benchmarks (if even then)

Thanks for all ur help. I'll finally go for the first ripjaws as they're in stock, even though they're a bit more "pricey" it's ok if performance is about the same

Got a pair of 2gb Ripjaws X 1333 7-7-7-21 1.5v. They look great and they're so neat and dandy

But i'm still just watchin the gskill hologram shining inside the box...

The socket 775 asus mobo i found has a cpu 4 pin ATX connector. My old 780i SLI got 8pin connector, so does my 750W psu... Asked all over a city for 8 pin to 4 pin or 4+4 adapters and they say that they've never seen 8pin or that they don't manage that stuff. Last 4pin i've seen was on a 8 years old mobo for an amd athlon lol
On internet i only find 4pin to 8, the opossite i need, and the few 8 to 4 i've found are from USA websites, but i'm european and cba to order things that far.

So i'm here waiting 'til conclusion comes to me

                  Greetings
