Hello all.
Hope someone may be able to help me with my problem.
I have the ram in the title installed onto a Asus P6X58D-E motherboard with an
Intel i7 960 cpu. windows 7 64bit.

I would like to increase, poss double my ram, but the problem is that here in Australia suppliers have the same ram as discontinued, a hunt on eBay here and in the US turns up blank.

Do I have any options with a compatible tri set or would I need to use excatly the same ram, either keep looking for NOS or start again?

It is very difficult to match kits for triple channel. You should purchase a new 12GB kit. You can save the 6GB as spare or sell it online. That is a popular kit, so you should not have a problem.

Thanks for your reply, not the one I wanted to hear, but the one I expected being a triple channel. Will have to do some research for new ram,see what others with same board are having success with. Unless you or any readers care to make a suggestion.
