  • EVGA X58 with F3-12800CL9T-12GBRL

I need bios settings to get the ram to its rated speed. I tried enabling XMP, and was unable to even post to bios afterward. I had to remove the ram and put the old sticks back in in order to get back into the bios and revert the settings. I also tried setting it to 9-9-9-24 manually with the same result. It runs fine at DDR3-1060 (from the default standard bios setting), and Memtest 86 completed a pass with no errors.

I have since flashed the bios to the newest version (82), but I would like to have the correct settings available before I retry XMP (or manual settings, if so advised), so I can hopefully avoid needing to crawl back under the desk, open the case, etc. all over again. Thanks.

Mobo: EVGA X58 3X SLI (newest bios)
RAM Modules: F3-12800CL9T-12GBRL (one set, 12GB total)
    CPU: i7 920 Bloomfield

With the latest BIOS you should only have to enable XMP and set it to 1600

Pls offer comments on support I provide, HERE, in order to help me do a better job here:

      Tman,

Thanks for the encouragement; everything seems to be working correctly now.
