      G. Skill is not bothering with AMD processors ... Just talking about the LGA 2011 that it shows pictures and a lot of thing about such RipjawsZ ... But for AMD, the G. Skill has not released anything ... I will go to the Corsair ...

Sorry for my bad english... Bye...

Just to throw 2 cents in, the Flares were and are very popular sticks, but the chips used in making them are very rare and hard to get, it would be easy enough for Gskill to take lower end chips and use those, throw the healsinks on and pass them off as Flares, but GSkill is above that. I've used them and love them, the Ripjaws X are right in the same line with the Flares at 2133.

As far as designing for AMD chips, I can't speak for GSkill, but if it were me, I don't think I would be designing DIMMS that are slower than what I am currently designing, especially when the DIMMs available generally all work fine with the AMD chipsets.

The Flares were originally designed (as I understand it) with the AMD BullDozer in mind, but after numerous delays the BullDozer is finally here and even being brand new is inferior to the iCore Intel CPUs that have been around for awhile and Intel has new ones right around the corner. The BullDozers can run 2133 (though not real well and not really in large quantities (i.e. 16GB), where the current iCores can, and coming up is the Sandy Bridge E which go even faster DRAM and IvyBridge where you're looking at 2800 DIMMS. The true high performance systems are Intel based and will be for the near future, which is where the design dollars need to be put.

You have to understand that AMD memory capabilities are a step behind Intel. So all of our RipJaws Series, Sniper Series, and all these "Intel" kits, they are already compatible and will have great results with AMD.

When buying memory, you are paying for the memory spec. Intel has XMP, and specific profiles so that it only takes one change in BIOS to operate high performance. That is why we list it as "Intel" memory. Doesn't mean Intel only, but it gets the name because it has the profile specifically for Intel.

For AMD, profiles are not fully developed yet, so "AMD" memory is rare. Technically, "AMD memory" is ANY memory. Some people used Flare Series on Intel and achieved even better results than AMD system. If we release "AMD" memory, then people may ask, why is this AMD memory? It would be a good question, but a difficult answer.

Everything above DDR3-1333 CL9 requires manual settings. That's why you see a guide for AMD, but not Intel. So how come Intel people do not complain? Because they don't need a guide, they just need to enable XMP.

For AMD, you have to be more experienced. Manual configuration is required, so it does not matter which memory you get, you just have to purchase memory your CPU can support.

          Thank you

For it is the G. Skill is concerned more with Intel than AMD users agree with you, those memories were only in legend and nothing more and if it works with any memory of why most of you just memories appear specifications for intel ?

Think all that is explained above, for those that listen to AMD, BullDozer was suppose to come out earlier and was suppose to put Intel to shame...it didn't meet expectations and try as they might, they couldn't get it to, regardless, it's finally here, but doesn't meet expectations, the 2500K is priced over 10% less than their high end Dozer (FX 8150) and outperforms it basically from A to Z.....the 8150 can effectively handle DRAM up to about 2000 w/ 16GB (but runs very hot)....and GSkill as well as many others already have plenty of sticks that are perfect for the Dozer (though maybe sticks with looser timings at high freq would fit it better). I think it would be hard to justify designing lower freq, higher CL sticks when everyone wants higher performance sticks (especially, when as mentioned there is already a large number of sticks that run great with the DOZER, GSkill alone has a variety of sets in 1866, 2000, 2133 in various flavors Ripjaws, Ripjaws X, Snipers from low 1.25 to higher 1.65 voltage (the majority at 1.5). So again, just my opinion on this, but if you already have sets that will work perfectly fine with new AMD CPUs, why would you want your design team to actually have to backward design a new series of sticks for Brand New AMD CPUs that, technology wise are over 8 months behind what is currently available, and soon to be even further behind, Sandy Bridge E is due out this month, with even faster CPUs and that can handle DRAM up to 2800 or better, Ivy Bridge is due the first of the year or so (even faster).....It's really just a matter of common sense and economics.

Ok so I have to look welse where?

I?m not going to get a flare , or other AMD RAM for me by G.Skill?

I undertand that those other RAM are "compatible" but, its not enought T_T

                Still waiting!

Not sure what to tell you, I, myself don't work for GSkill, I have my own systems business and volunteer here and a few other forums, and use all brands of sticks, though primarily GSkill, and to be honest I can't even think of anything to suggest, the highest rated sticks I can remember that are 'designed' for AMD were 1600 sticks, and they are no longer being made...that was back when the 965 Black was originally introduced, sad thing was it couldn't handle 1600...until they came out with the C3 revision. These days most everything out from 1333 on up is XMP (Intel) oriented. I'll drop a line to the other builders/consultants I network with, particularly those that build on the AMD platform and see if they can offer any good sets for consideration, should have something by Sunday

Memory AMD is not "any memory". Do you know why? Because with any other memory or Ripjaws, X and Z can be 2000MHz CL8-9-8 or less on a Phenom II X6, only the FLARE 2000MHz 8GB (2x 4GB) can easily, and only with it can be reduced latency more easily. So do not tell me AMD memory is "any memory". I doubt very much that RipjwasX 2133 CL9-11-9 can work on 2000MHz CL8-9-8 in a Phenom II X6. I'll be waiting for the FLARE 2133 for my 1100T to use them on 2000MHz CL8-9-8 and for my future FX-8170 Rev. B3 and Piledriver. And I keep waiting for months after announcing in mid-year!

No real good news as of today, a couple have had some success with Ripjaws X 2133 sticks running at about 2000 with CL8, but after the Dulldozer release three are dropping AMD as a platform, based on the fact that the Dozers per core performance isn't really much better than a 965 and in cases get beat by the 1090s and 1100s (and obviously underperforms the 2X00K Intel models, and the upcoming Piledrivers (once touted for a 15% or better increase in performance is now being seen as (hopefully) only a 10% increase (so I'm guessing 5-7% maybe)...and that's mid to late 2012. Sorry nothing better to report as yet

Should be interesting, have heard they are very similar to the Patriot Gaming series....haven't heard pricing yet, so we'll have to wait and see.
