  • M4a88t-m le and f3-12800cl8d-4gbtd compatible?

Hi, I will be receiving an asus m4a88t-m le motherboard, and I was wondering if F3-12800CL8D-4GBTD will work with that motherboard. It is not on the QVL list, so I just want to check with an expert. Thank you.

Should run fine, just make sure to manually enter the memory timings and voltage in the bios.

What CPU will you be running? Not all will run 1600

Pls offer comments on support I provide, HERE, in order to help me do a better job here:

Even the C2 Denab's should be able to run 1600MHz.

It's when you populate all dimms is when the C2 runs into problems.

I'm running Amd 425 x3 unlocked to x4. There is a problem. I keep getting memory management blue screen crashes all the time. The bios set it to 667mhz, 9-9-9-24 . That's what the mem ok button sets it to. I have tried setting the timings that are on the chips: 8-8-8-21 1.65v but it crashes even more.

The 4th core was originally locked for a reason...
You're undoubtedly putting too much stress on the IMC with the higher memory frequency.
Try running the modules in the other (outside) slots.
Manually enter the memory frequency, timings, and DRAM voltage in your bios.

Hi NemesisChild. Thanks for your reply. I have tried using the two outside slots: DIMM B1 and B2 but it seem to crash more. I put them in A1 and A2 and it crashes a little less, but eventually I get the memory management BSOD.

I put it back to x3 and it seems stable so far. You might have a point about the unlocking making it unstable. This is my first ASUS board. Don't know why they would put that function if it makes it crash. Now it's time to overclock this x3 since it's only running at 29 degrees C. Gonna push the vcore up. What was your max vcore for your x6? What is the difference between win7 and win7 H.P. Is it a different installation? That's a sick setup. Thanks

                  Thanks man...

You can actually take the Phenom and Athlon chips up to 1.55v.
But I would not do it on a 24/7 basis, only for testing & benching purposes.
                  I run my 1090T 24/7 just over 4.0GHz with a Vcore of only 1.45v.
Find where your 425 sweet spot is with a Vcore between 1.45 and 1.475v.
This should provide a nice blend between CPU overclock and CPU temp.

Your system is crazy fast. I'm liking this coming from a msi 975x with xeon 3070, ddr2, hd4850. I don't know if I could use 6 cores. I thought it would be nice to unlock the extra dormant core, but that doesn't look like it will work. I wonder if core unlocker works on other cpus. I now have the asus m4a88t-m with 4gb tridents, amd 425, and hd4850. The gpu and cpu both have decent aftermarket coolers, so they can take some overclocking. Dirt 3 and crysis 2 run very smoothly. Thanks for your help

I have to learn how to overclock this motherboard since it is different than my last. I can only turn up the cpu/ht clock up to 235 before it gets unstable. Maybe I have to adjust the HT speed to get a higher cpu clock?
