  • DDR3 error and blue screen

I'm getting blue screens on the machine I've just built. Here is the config:
    MB: GIGABYTE GA-890GPA-UD3H
CPU: AMD Phenom II x6 1100T Black Thuban 3.3GHz
    Memory: 16G with four G.SKILL F3-1066CL9D-8GBRL
    OS: Windows 7 64bit

I'm using Memetest 86+ (ver4.20) to test the memory. All the errors are in test #5 (block moving) and #8 (modulo 20) . Here are the results:
    1. All 4X4G DDR3 on the mother board (16G): FAIL the tests 5 and 8
    2. Each DDR3 on socket 1 (4G): PASS the tests 5 and 8
    3. One DDR3 in socket 1 and one DDR3 in socket 3 (8G) : PASS the tests 5 and 8
    4. One DDR3 in socket 2 and one DDR4 in socket 4 (8G): PASS the tests 5 and 8

Currently I'm using only 2 DDR3 in socket 1 and 3 and so far no blue screens. However I would like to use all the memory.
Any help will be very much appreciated.

Sounds like the two kits are not fully compatible. You need to send them in for RMA and try two new kits to see if they can match and work in the same computer.

To make sure, you can try DRAM Voltage 1.550V-1.60V to see if that helps, but if not, RMA will be needed.

    Thank you
