  • Trouble with computer build

I just recently started building a new computer and am having some problems starting it up. Some of the computer parts are...

    Motherboard- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131703

    CPU- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819115071

    Memory- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231451
I got 2 sets of them for a total of 8gb

    NVIDIA Geforce GTX 570 HD

    1000 Watt Power Supply

The problem i'm having is that after i put everything in and hook it up, when i start my computer it starts up for a few seconds, shuts down, then turns on again, then stays running but nothing shows up on the monitor. All that time the DRAM_LED is lit up. Not really sure if the memory is bad or what's going on at this point. Any suggestions would be much welcomed. Thanks in advance..

P.S I've also tried switching around the memory, putting in less and switching it from slot to slot, and nothing.

Well looks like it's running with 1 of the 2gb sticks, but it looks like the CPU is overheating, would that cause me not to be able to run all 4 memory sticks?...It also blue screens right after the windows logon screen

Try with the 1 stick, go into BIOS and check voltages and DRAM timings for the sticks, enable XMP and set the sticks there. Also check the CPU voltage and note it probably want 1.22 min. Then try with two sticks, if still a problem, go back to 1 and raise CPU voltage again 1.24 maybe. Once you get to where you can boot with two, then try the four...

Watch the heat, if your at stock, should idle at around 40 or less. If this is brand new, might want to think 2x4GB for * total, less stress on the MC and there's no guarantee that the two separate sets will work together.
