  • When the system is doing something it will go up in freq and voltage, then at idle drops down, it's part of the energy savings built in through the BIOS

    • Why would one utility read so much differant than the other, both were running at the same time when readings were taken

      • Most of the software of that type, polls the sensors on a time interval, also the priority of the program to the CPU will present a lag on one or the other

            • I hope i can type this so that you can under what is going on. The best i can tell there is something wrong with one or a set of ram, or they all four do not work together. Not knowing what are the primary slots on my motherboard , i cannot test only one stick at a time, running all four together i get no errors using memtest. Things start acting up on page opening on the internet when i move the sets in pairs from blue to black slots. With OEM ram in the original configuration 1gb sticks in blue and 2gb sticks in black i have no problems. I know have the first set i purchased in the blue slots and second in the black and everything runs good. If i switch them around the problem comes back, G.Kill does not date stamp their memory so i can't use cpu-z to tell what stick is where, i am very sorry that i am at a point of throwing all the G.Skill ram in the garbage and go back to the OEM ram

              • You can run Memtest on each stick by itself in slot 1 (closest to the CPU...........How'd the cabinets come out?

                    • The one set of slots may just prefer the one set of sticks the way it is setting them up

                      • Just wanted to add this because it made a big difference on my computer, the F3-10600CL9D-8GBNT set that runs great in the blue slots have G.Skill stamped on the chips and the problem F3-10600CL9D-8GBNT set have Micron stamped on the chips.

                        • Interesting, I'll try and get GSkill to take a look on this, believe they are off for MLK Day, but not sure, would check in, but figure on Tues(?)

                          • Thanks Tman, i have decided to remove all of the G.Skill because last night i did a lot of graphic intensive work and had the same problem come up again. I guess my computer does not like these sticks or they don't work together because they are not a match set. I am discouraged because i purchased non-performance sticks to get the best compatibility and still have problems

                            • Tman, i guess G.Skill tech had the time last night to give everyone else an answer to their concerns but mine, that's sweet

                              • Sorry, I'm having a hard time understanding what's going on.

So with each kit in the same color slots, what is the problem?

Maybe a matched set of RipJaws 16GB would be best.

                                Thank you
