I came here a little over a year ago for various reasons, initially for suggestions on what DDR2 memory to get. 2 years after I bought my lovely DDR2 G.Skill memory, I think it's time for an upgrade. I've been trying to cram in a bunch of research about different memory types and what chips are good for overclocking but I'm still a little unsure. I'm about 80% set on the G.Skill 2x2GB ECO set:

I'll probably buy 2 packs for 8GB. They look great and have some really nice values for the money when overclocked.
Since CPU and motherboard matter, I'm leaning towards the AMD Phenom X6 1090T and the Gigabyte 890FXA motherboard. I realize I'll have to overclock to get to 1600MHz but I planned to do that anyway. I read that AMD and the 890 chipset both like low voltage and tight timing RAM. From everything I've read, the ECO kit will do great. I'm just wondering if there's other routes that might be preferred? I'll most likely want 8GB, I may have to buy just 1 ECO kit now and buy another later due to my budget. Is there another kit, under $100 for 2x2GB that would do better?
