  • F3-12800CL9T-6GBNQ & Asus M4A87TD Evo

Hi, I have just purchased this item. Reason I got it: It was a qualified vendor on my mobo.

Should I keep my bios on manual or should I put in the inputs manually?

If I should put them in manually, can someone tell me what to put? Thanks.

I plan on doing some overclcoking on my CPU this is my setup:

Mobo: ASUS M4A87TD EVO AM3 AMD 870 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD
    Ram: G.SKILL 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Triple Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9T-6GBN
    CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 970 Black Edition Deneb 3.5GHz 4 x 512KB L2 Cache 6MB L3 Cache Socket AM3 125W Quad-Core Desktop Processor HDZ970FBGMBOX
    PSU: 700w
    Hard drive: 120gb, ATA133 Interface, 7200rpm, it's old, I plan on getting a SATA 3.0gb.

    Thanks for the help!

I'd put the sticks in manually to rated specs and then go from there, have to run to a site right now, but will be back this PM, give it a try and get back, if fine tuning needed, will try and help

      thank tman!

Ok, as for the inputs, what should I put in?

I know the timing is: 9-9-9-24... what do i set the command rate to, voltage..etc? Thanks.

I always start w/ the CR at 2, sometimes you can get it to 1, but just depends. Voltage is rated 1.5 to 1.6, so might just start at 1.5, then if stable see if you can drop it a bit, or if not stable inch it up
