  • Max safe voltage for F3-12800CL9D-8GBXL

Hi there, running this at 9-9-9-24 at 1833. Voltage is 1.6v

    2500k at 4.6ghz
    Asus P8P67 Pro

Is 1.6v safe for this board/cpu? Not sure I wish to push voltage any further especially when any potential gains at this point would be very minimal.

    Thank you

That's prob the max I would run it also, GSkill may be able to offer more Mon, I like to stay within .1 of rated voltage, and since these sticks are 1.5 you are at the limit I'd suggest....nice OC on the sticks

Pls offer comments on support I provide, HERE, in order to help me do a better job here:

      Thanks for the reply.

Yes, I was pleasantly surprised with the OC especially considering the ram density.

This is my first G.Skill kit and so far I am very impressed!

          Yep 4.6!

I was also able to get it to 5.0 stable but it was just over 1.4 vcore and I don't really need 5.0 (temps were also 78-83 which I did not like).

4.6 seems to be my chips sweet spot as temps dont go above 70 (63-67 load Prime large FFT) and I only need 1.33 vcore.

Cheapo Hyper 212+ in a push/pull is all i'm using for cooling.

wow....yea, i bet your temps were high. i even find 70 to be a little on the high side, I have a LOT of cooling for my system.

waiting for my new cpu to get in the mail tomorrow... sad part is, i just have a crappy hard drive.....it's a ATA133 interface.

Glad to hear it! Have fun!

Might try investing in a SSD and hang on to the ATA for little used programs and for data files, temp files etc, that would give you a real boost

                Nice,

I too could probably do 5.0 on my 2500K if I gave it 1.4v+ but I'm stable at 4.60Ghz with 1.36V.

Waiting on my sandy bridge RAM! F3-17000CL9D-8GBXLD can't wait
