  • Best ram for gigabyte h55m-usb3?

I have a h55m-usb3 with a i5 680. Which would good ram to compliment this setup?
Here is what I've been looking at.

    G.skill 1600 mhz $65

    G.skill 1333 MHz $50

What do you guys think would work best and be the best bang for my buck(if you have other recommendations I'd love to here them)? Im not looking to oc off the back but would like the option. Would there be a great advantage of going with the 1600 ram? Are all these capatible with the board? I was leaning toward the eco sticks as they are spec'd for 1.35v and seem to have a lot of room to play with, but I have seen some problems with them and this board in the forums even though they are on gigabytes tested list for the board so it makes me unsure.
Any help would be much appreciated.

    Thanks

Think you examples got truncated, but might think towards the 1600 sticks (or a 1600 set at CL8) that way if you do decide to OC will have the higher speed at that end, and if you decide to initially run at 1333, you can tighten the timings to boost the performance at 1333

      so speed over timing?

With the higher spped stick, you can always downclock and tighten timings, with the lower speed that's basically it, you might be able to OC the sticks a bit, but generally not to the next normal packaged speed, i.e. prob not going to get 1333 sticks up to 1600

I am running that exact board with the 1600 kit. My kit has higher timings though. Other than that it looks about the same. Works great! Keep in mind that you may have to go into bios and change some settings to actually run at 1600 as the mobo defaults to 1333. No big deal. Mine does not like to be overclocked beyond 1600 at all. At least, I have not been able to figure out a stable way to do it. My RAM kit is slightly different than what you have there, so you may be able to do more with it than I could.

I'd vote the 1600s, may have to tweak voltages a bit

Are there any serious benefits to the Eco's over the ripjaws?

Minuscule saving in electric as they are lower voltage

Thanks for all your help guys! One last question, if you had to choose (same speed) between Eco cl8 and ripjaws cl7 which would you pick?

                  Thanks

I'd go the RipJaws - especially the CL7 but also I like the higher voltage, and this is just me speaking, but I like the idea of more room to play w/ voltages for OCing if need be
